Exhibition: "Beasley's Vaqueros of the Brush Country" shares the dangers and joys of South Texas vaquero life.
Ricardo Beasley was a vaquero, artist, and poet whose work and writing captured the details, danger, and drama of vaquero life from the 1930s through the 1960s. For the first time, this layered exhibition brings together Beasley's intense, energetic artwork and brings to life the experiences of the vaqueros who worked Texas's cattle and horses.
